Modern Day Prophet Blog

Animal Justice:
The Best Friend Animals Society works for no-kill project to save animals in American shelters.  The organization saves animals in shelters.  They then help the animals find a new family.  These families are safe and loving so the animals do not go through the same trauma.  Their mission is important because just like humans, animals need love and support, which is what the Best Friend Animals Society is trying to provide to these in need animals.

Environmental Justice:
The Sierra Club protects and restores National Forests.  John Muir founded the organization is 1892.  The organization also protects public lands from mining and drilling.  Their mission is important because it prolongs the life of the Earth, therefore prolonging the life of organisms on the Earth.

Peace Justice:
The Wounded Warrior Project helps veterans by improving their lives after serving our country.  That fight for veterans who have both mental and physical injuries.  Whether the injuries are physical or invisible, the organization does not discriminate and helps to their best abilities.  Their mission is important because it helps these vulnerable veterans feel safe and like they have people who not only understand them, but also want to help them improve their lives.

Human Justice:
The Shirts For a Cure is an organization that helps unprivileged women pay for breast cancer treatment.  These women cannot afford the treatment themselves and the organization is trying to provide these women with the money they need.  100% of the money made from the shirts goes to women in need of treatment.  Their mission is important because it helps women who think they will not be able to fight have a chance in the battle.

The injustice I am most passionate about and why is the peace injustice.  I want to eliminate as much discrimination as I can because it affects people whether they can or cannot control it.  I am passionate about this injustice because I have been discriminated against myself and it does not feel good.  All I want is peace in the world so I can feel comfortable walking down my hometown street without fearing what I look like physically and mentally.
