          My group and I studied the Shroud of Turin and the Site of Calvary for the Bible Archeology project.  It is somewhat hard to answer the question of what we learned affected my views of Jesus from what I thought of him before.  Both were research about things or places Jesus was in for his burial and resurrection.  For the Shroud of Turin, I might just question whether or not Jesus was actually in the cloth.  If he wasn't in the cloth then almost his entire life was a lie after he was buried.  It is possible someone could have taken his body from the cloth, if it was even what he was buried in.  A great video that supports this thought is: http://www.smithsonianmag.com/videos/category/3play_1/why-the-vatican-believes-in-the-shroud-of-turin/?no-ist

       For the Site of Calvary, people believe Jesus was crucified there.  What backs it up is that it is very close to the Garden Tomb where people believe Jesus was buried and resurrected.  If this is not where he was crucified, then it is forever a mystery where Jesus, the son of God, was executed.  My views can't really change because whether or not he was buried in a cloth or if he was crucified in a first century building, doesn't affect who he was as a real person before people took advantage of him and killed him.  My views of him don't change, but my views of history and the church might change because none of them have 100% proof to back up their stories of Jesus' crucifixion and everything after that.
